You need to take protection area permission via travel agent in Gangtok. You cannot do it yourself if you wants to. This is the rule of Sikim Tourism. You can stay on North Sikim for three days and two nights for the permission and packages. It costs 12000 to 22000 rupi for lachung - Yamthang - zero point - chopta valley package in North Sikim including Car, Hotel and Food. 3000 rupe is only for Mount Katao in NorthSikim. 3500 to 4000 rupe for sangu lake.

You can take a package for Namchi, Char dham, Rabanglar and Buddhist Park in South Sikim. It will cost 5000 rupe. Also, there is budget packages as 7000 rupe for Julukh, East Sikim and 4500 to 6000 rupe for Paling, West Sikim. There is a good number of travel agent shop in Mall Road. You can take your desired package from them. The Agent will make your Protected area permission.

Shelter or lodging.

There is a good number of Hotels in Gangtok MG Marg Mall Road. Within 1000 to 2500 rupe you can book a Hotel with good facilities in Mall Road.
